Bonjour!
If you don’t mind, I’d like to take a small paragraph to let you know a few things about myself. Don’t worry, it will be a short paragraph. Here it is:
In some ways, I am a normal, old-fashioned, law-abiding citizen. But on the more, shall we say, abnormal side, I am a movie connoisseur. However, I prefer older movies. Not just to sound smart, mind you (although it’s a plus). I am extremely disappointed with what Hollywood gets away with nowadays. If you’ve seen this year’s Oscar nominees, you know what I’m talking about. That’s why I love classic film as much as I do. There was class, style, originality, creativity, innocence, daring, that’s not present in films of the now. Sure, there’s shock factor, but even that has been repeated ad nauseam. Indeed, we’re now numb to shock.
I’m sorry, but when certain films (I won’t name names, like Twilight or Transformers) are regarded as great, it’s because no one knows what movies were all about. That’s where I come in. I want to help you discover the fun, excitement, and endless entertainment of classic film.
That wasn’t so bad, was it? Oh, quit. It was not. Now, here’s the deal. Each week I’ll be recommending a movie. I’ll be giving the full synopsis, some facts, all the information about it… And, of course, my opinion. The best part, in my opinion.
Please voice any thoughts you have! I’m open to hear anything I want to hear. Remember, have fun and stay classic.

I’m speechless! What a brave undertaking. And you did it so well. Where can I find this movie? Can’t wait for the next one. (You’re too funny!–I love it.) B
Thanks! And I’d check the nearest library. I’m sure they’ll have it. It’s definitely worth the trip!

Luke-

Cate
Great site! I’m still waiting for you to review ‘The Newsies,’ though!
Hey Luke-
You probably already knew this but I thought you would appreciate this bit of trivia. Do you know what Alfred Hitchcock sent as a wedding present to Grace Kelly? A shower curtain; he then went on to direct Psycho.
-Cate
Wow, I actually didn’t know that! Sounds like something Hitch would do, though. I love his sense of humor.
